| Let's start with Thalia, ready for her close-up on December 29, 2000.
The setting, though you can't tell from the photo, is Rockefeller Center. The
family did a whirlwind tour of Manhattan on that day, flying in and out from our home
thanks to a low fare air carrier. I just had to take them to see the tree, but Thalia
lights up the room in her own way...

From a few months before that, specifically, September 2000, here's Kieran striking a pose
while we train watch at a local train yard. It's mostly CSX these days, in place of the
Conrail locomotives that used to call this space home.

Hmm... must be the holidays with that smile! Kieran in casual wear, enjoying a break from
the Christmas rush, December 2000.

I'm a fierce dinosaur, Thalia! See my shirt and sweater?
Kieran has really taken to the "terrible lizards" of the past; in
fact, he knows more about them than his parents do. March, 2001.

Thalia, on the same day... just a few moments before, actually!

The Liberty Bell! Well, no, not exactly, but this bell is on display a few steps
from the Betsy Ross House in Philadelphia. Kieran poses on a windy day in March
2001.

| Finally, I think the Gerber Baby has some competition from Thalia! And yes, that
is a Micro-Trains Line mug that she has in her hand...
